COSCO awards Nikolas D. Pateras’ Contships for the support of the repair zone of Piraeus

Contships Management confirmed the vote of confidence in the Piraeus shipbuilding and repair zone for ship maintenance work through an announcement.

Indicatively, since Cosco took over the management of the ship repair infrastructure in Piraeus, Contships Management has carried out 23 tanker refits of its containerships. Contships is the world’s largest feeder-class containership management company, i.e. containerships with a carrying capacity of 900 to 1,500 TEUs.

In recognition of the company’s continued and practical support, COSCO has awarded Contships Management, headed by Mr. Nikolas D. Pateras.

In fact, Mr. Nikolas D. Pateras, Head of Contships and Mr. Yu Zenggan, Chairman of PPA-Cosco Shipping expressed their desire to continue this cooperation. In this context, eight more Contships vessels are expected to drydock in Piraeus in the coming 12 months.

At the same time, it is worth noting that a lunch between the two companies took place, which was also attended by H.E. Mr. Xiao Junzheng, Ambassador of China to Greece.
